Oil pressure on cold starts pegged at 5 then after 15 mins it goes to around 3.4 on idle…so not far off Clarks guide. Took it for a spin today…upon start the oil pressure goes to 5 and sure enough the oil pressure light starts to flicker……after 3 mins…light goes away…drive for another 15 mins….light flickered once during this time and that was it.
- Sep 18, 2012 · Whenever I drive my truck every light in my truck pulsates and the speed of it increases when I rev the engine. I mean EVERY light i.e. dome light, head lights, the lights for the radio and gauge cluster. I thought it could be an alternator problem until I had it tested and the test read that it was working properly.
- Ok, so the light stopped flickering once I got to work and put the car in park. Still had the multimeter in the car. Checked the voltage: 14.38V. I haven't had a chance to see if wiggling the wiring on the voltage regulator helps. But there's no plug connected to the alternator.
But noticed that when car gets warm it start driving fine (without loosing power and throttling), but still getting ABS/handbrake lights on from time to time. I bought little better diagnostics device and found one more error, P0130 , it seems like faulty lambda (O2) sensor.
- Jan 30, 2007 · I noticed today that while I'm sitting with the car at idle, my ENTIRE electrical system seems to 'pulsate', with the headlights dimming, dash lights dimming, blower fan slowing down, etc. The heat also seems to completely turn off. The system stays 'low' for a few seconds, goes back to normal for a second, goes back to 'low', repeats etc.

Apr 17, 2012 · going up a single 5w step in the cold oil side of the oil grade (got from 5/40 to 10/40) and if that doesnt sort it go up a grade on the high side (from 10/40 to a 10/45 which wont be availalbe so you'll need to go to 10/50 or more likely 20/50) and if that fixes it then its really close to either a big end and mains redo, rebuilding the oil pump, checking the opening on the relief valve and cleaning the strainer (in reverse order) to get rid of the light problem.
